Community Emergency Response Team

Several times a year, the police and fire rescue departments work together to offer adult and teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification classes to our residents and business owners who are looking to help the community in its time of need.

Educate yourself about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact our area and learn basic response skills such as:
- Disaster Preparedness
- Fire Suppression
- Light Search and Rescue
- Team Organization
- First Aid and Triage Operations
- Disaster Psychology
- Terrorism and more.
Classes are held several times a year which consist of 4 evenings (one night a week) and 1 Saturday morning practice drill. Classes are held at the main police headquarters and the fire training facility.

Please complete the application and someone from Community Affairs will contact you when the next set of certification classes are scheduled.
