Two Free Hurricane Debris Dump Sites for Residents

All hurricane debris removal began September 11th and continues throughout the City. The City is divided into 12 zones and the trucks are being distributed evenly between the zones based on volume of debris. We cannot give any specific dates for when a particular area or address will receive service, but expect the entire process will take another 6-8 weeks.
For those City of Pembroke Pines residents that wish to expedite the cleanup of their property and haul off their own debris, the City is providing two dump sites at no cost to the resident.

• East site: Howard C. Foreman Complex located at 8301 Pembroke Road, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025.
• West Site: Spring Valley Park located at 1700 NW 160TH Avenue, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026.

• Days and hours of operation: Both sites will be open 7 days a week from 10 am to 6 pm beginning on Thursday September 28th 2017.

• What will be accepted: Only hurricane related debris will be accepted at the sites. Brown vegetative (freshly cut trimmings are not accepted) and C&D debris directly related to storm damage (i.e. fencing, broken lawn furniture).
• What will not be accepted: Household trash, household recyclables, and regular bulk (i.e. interior furniture, white goods).
• Proof of residency will be required in the form of a government issued picture ID with the resident’s address (driver’s license/passport/military ID, etc.). The resident must also fill out a short form provided at the dump site with their name, address, date, and signature.
• If a resident wishes to participate in this program but is unable to haul off their own debris, they may use a friend/relative or hire a private contractor to do so. The contractor will not be charged a dumping fee. However, the resident must accompany the vehicle to the dumpsite in order to provide proof of residency and fill out the required form.
• All debris must be offloaded by the resident and/or their friend/relative or hired contractor.
* Periodic closures may occur due to inclement weather such as heavy rain or thunderstorms.
