It’s almost time for the most “spooktacular” night of the year at the annual BooVille, hosted by the City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. This year’s event will take place on October 28, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pines Recreation Center, located at 7400 Pines Blvd.

Perfect for all ages, BooVille is filled with old fashioned fun which includes a costume contest, rides, a pumpkin patch, Trick or Treat stations and games. Tickets, which are $2 per person, are required for children 17 and under and can be purchased on the day of the event at the gate beginning at 4 p.m. The gates open at 6 p.m. Back by popular demand, the Teal Pumpkin Project will once again be a part of this event. Launched as a national campaign by Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) in 2014, the Teal Pumpkin Project raises awareness of food allergies and promotes inclusion of all Trick or Treaters throughout the Halloween season. The project designates non-food treats to children with food allergies and those for whom candy is not an option who will be attending BooVille. Teal Pumpkins will be posted at the Trick or Treat stations, along with a logo and information, so children with allergies can feel included.
