The Art and Cultural Department’s mission is to provide a variety of cultural offerings to the community at an affordable cost. We have four facilities with unique art and cultural programs in the city.

Fletcher Art & Cultural Center
Year round art, piano, guitar and drama classes are offered at the Fletcher Art and Cultural Center and the River of Grass ArtsPark for children ages 5 through adults as well as fine arts and drama camps for children. Susan B. Katz Theater & River of Grass ArtsPark
The River of Grass ArtsPark houses the Susan B. Katz Theater of Performing Arts, a 442 seat venue with 6 allotted handicapped seating area available for rentals to cultural and other performance groups. We also host a variety of art, music and drama classes. Please call Maritza at 954-322-2597 for information. 
The Pembroke Pines Theatre of Performing Arts (PPTOPA)  also hosts many performances at this facility.  Please contact PPTOPA at 954-437-4884.

Studio 18
Studio 18 in the Pines is a fine art gallery and studio work space for professional artists. Eight shows are curated annually as well as field trips, cultural events, lectures and meetings. Artists may apply for studio work space, exhibit opportunities or to teach adult art classes. Classrooms and Gallery are available for rent. Please call 954-961-6067 for more information.

Pembroke Pines Civic & Cultural Center  - Coming Soon!!!
Construction has begun and the walls are going up on the City of Pembroke Pines Civic and Cultural Center located on Pines Blvd in the mid-town district. This multi-purpose, four-story complex will include a new city hall, a 3,500 seat state-of-the-art performance/conference space, a stand alone Commission Chamber, and an 11,000 square foot two-story contemporary arts center called the Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery and Exhibit Hall at City Center or “The Frank,” named after Mayor Ortis in honor of his commitment to the cultural arts. Visit our YouTube Channel  for up to date information

Free Events
Many events are free including: the annual Arts and Crafts Festival in the Pines, Studio 18, Symphony of America's annual orchestra concert, the Children’s Film Festival, and the Storybook Festival.
