presents a Hurricane Safety seminar

Pembroke Pines Mayor
Frank C. Ortis invites residents and
business owners to the “NBC6
Hurricane Safety Seminar”
a one and a half hour
town hall
meeting to learn about Hurricane Safety
on July 23rd
beginning at 7:00p.m. in the Pembroke
Pines City Hall Commission Chambers,
10100 Pines Boulevard.
The NBC6 Hurricane
Safety Seminar, will be co-hosted by
NBC 6 Meteorologists John Gerard and
Ryan Phillips and feature
a panel of experts from the National
Weather Service, Emergency Operations,
Police, Fire and Building Officials,
Insurance, and Public Services. Time
will be provided following the
program for questions from the public.
“Pembroke Pines has
always been proactive in its Hurricane
Preparedness and this program will be
sure to enlighten our residents and
business community,” said Mayor Frank
C. Ortis. “To ensure the Hurricane
Safety Seminar program reaches the
maximum audience we plan to tape the
program and air it on our city cable
channel 78.” Ortis is encouraging every
resident to have a seven day supply of
non-perishable food and water.

forward to helping the community keep
themselves safe,” said NBC 6
