Congratulations to Tammy Lau for being voted
Employee of the Year 2005. Tammy Lau was voted
Employee of the 2nd Quarter of 2005.
Tammy is an Accounting Clerk III in the Finance
Department and has been employed by the City
since June 2000.
Tammy is in
charge of grants, such as SHIP (State Housing
Initiative Partnership), CDBG (Community
Development Block Grant) and COPS (Community
Oriented Policing Services) grants, among
others.
Tammy is
very dependable and conscientious and is always
willing to provide support to any fellow
employee who needs her assistance. Interpreting
for citizens who speak only Taiwanese is one of
her many talents. Tammy loves her job and
coworkers and it shows in her positive
attitude. She always has a smile on her face
as well as a great sense of humor.
Tammy lives
in Davie with her husband, Andrew, and her
cocker spaniel, Cooper.
She has
many interests including ballroom dancing,
gardening (orchids are her favorite) shopping,
sewing, traveling, as well as taking pictures
with her digital camera of department events.
She also enjoys collecting baby pictures.
Tammy’s
positive attitude is what makes her stand out
above the rest. She is known as the department
historian, always taking pictures to celebrate
whatever event the dept. is celebrating,
whether it be a birthday, promotion, or
holiday event.
Tammy is an
asset to the department and the City and the
City of Pembroke Pines is proud to present Tammy
this most deserving award.
