Jerry Degraffenreid
, Employee of the
Second
Quarter
Employee of the Second Quarter for 2006
Congratulations to
Jerry Degraffenreid who was voted Employee of
the Second Quarter. Jerry has been employed with
the City for fifteen years, twelve as a
Utilities Worker I and three years as a
Utilities Worker II. He has shown dedication
towards the job by willing to go beyond what is
required of him. For example, Jerry volunteered
to learn new skills like the use of backhoes and
repairing large valves. With these new
abilities, expensive tasks no longer have to be
done by outside contractors. Jerry is committed
to all assignments and is done to the best
interest of the City.
Jerry’s attitude towards the citizens is evident
with the numerous letters of praise. Jerry is
courteous and respectful. Satisfying the
citizens as well as the City is his mission.
Outside of work Jerry enjoys bonding with his
family including his two boys who are eight and
nine years old. When asked about his hobbies he
simply stated, “hanging with the kid.”
The City is proud to have an employee as devoted
as Jerry. He is a great asset to his department
as well as the City.
