Cecilia Albert
, Employee of the Third
Quarter
Employee of the Third Quarter for 2006
Congratulations to
Cecilia Albert who was voted Employee of the
Third Quarter. Cecilia has been a part of the
Pembroke Pines Police Department first as a
volunteer in November of ’97, which she logged
in countless hours assisting with addressing
domestic violence and crime victim needs, along
with clerical assignments. In October of 2002,
Cecilia became a full-time designated Victim
Advocate Practitioner. Cecilia works tirelessly
and enthusiastically in every aspect of the
program. She assists with walk-ins, Court
Advocacy, and call-outs. Cecilia frequently
assists far into the night on follow-ups for the
next day. Cecilia designed the cover for the
Florida Victim Witness Network Conference, which
was hosted locally in June of 2003.
Cecilia has attended
many training opportunities on her own time and
at her own expense. Her contributions to the
department and the city are truly immeasurable,
which was evident when Cecilia was recognized as
the Semi Annual Civilian Employee of the Year in
2003.
During Cecilia’s off
time she enjoys reading, walking, needlework,
and sewing. When asked about the most rewarding
part of the job Cecilia states, “Being able to
help people when they are in a state of distress
and giving them options for help.”
The City is proud to
have an employee as dedicated as Cecilia Albert.
Cecilia is a role model for employees and her
peers.
