  1. Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive

    October 7, 8:00 AM - November 12, 5:00 PM @ Southwest Focal Point Community Center

    The City of Pembroke Pines Southwest Focal Point Community Center is preparing to collect & distribute Thanksgiving food baskets to families in need in our community. We are kindly requesting donations in the form of canned & dry goods, turkeys, checks or gift cards to purchase these items. Donations can be dropped off or monetary contributions can be mailed to the Southwest Focal Point Community Center.     October 19, 9:00 AM - October 20, 4:00 PM @ Southwest Focal Point Community Center

    Over 40 dealers including orchid dealer. Free parking, admission $3.00 per person, children under 12 free. Two-day show hours: Sat. 9-5 pm & Sun. 10-4 pm. Bella Cantina Café open for breakfast, lunch & snacks on premises. Antique appraiser available Sunday only, $3.00 per item. Space proceeds benefit the community center programming, events & classes.   1. Ghoulish Guardians Pumpkin Carving Contest

    October 19, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Community Garden

    @Join the City of Pembroke Pines on October 19, 2013 at City's Community Garden located at Hiatus Rd. and Washington St. for the Ghoulish Guardians Pumpkin Carving Contest. The participants will receive art supplies and pumpkins and will compete in 4 categories. The winners of the Ghoulish Guardians Pumpkin Carving Contest will be on display at the City's Boo-ville Event in the evening. All participants are suggested to pre-register with Jill Slaughter, Curator of Special Projects at 954-450-6947. The age categories are as follows: 12 and under 12-17 18 and Up Special Needs-All Ages (Special Needs participants may participate in carving hand over hand).
