Hall, City Center’s design is based on the traditional neighborhood concept
that will reflect the values of our close-knit community and be sensitive to
environmental and growth concerns.
This 115-acre
property is currently zoned for commercial and industrial uses. Our City
Commission purchased the land in 2002 to prevent piecemeal development –
which threatened to contribute further to community fragmentation and sprawl.
Instead,
Pembroke Pines is working to shape a vibrant City Center with an old-fashioned
neighborhood feel -- a place where we experience family and friends, where we
shop and work, enjoy an outdoor concert, sit in the park – a place that serves
as the heart and soul of our City.
