Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
The City Commission of the City of Pembroke Pines has created an
“Affordable Housing Advisory Committee,” and is now accepting
applications from qualified individuals to fill positions on the
Committee.
The Committee is established to provide for assistance with the
implementation and modification of the City’s Local Housing Assistance
Plan. Duties of the committee will include, but are not limited to,
review of policies, procedures, ordinances and land development
regulations of the City, and recommendation to the City Commission
actions or incentives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing.
The eleven (11) member committee will consist of citizens actively
engaged in one each of the following categories:
Residential home building industry*
Banking or mortgage banking industry *
Representative of those areas of labor actively engaged in home
building*
Advocate for low-income persons*
For-profit provider of affordable housing
Not-for-profit provider of affordable housing
Real estate professional*
Member of the local planning agency
Resident of the City of Pembroke Pines
Representative of employers within Pembroke Pines
Representative of essential services personnel, per the Local Housing
Assistance Plan
*in connection with affordable housing
