The adult day care is an exciting alternative in the delivery of long-term care services that has produced dynamic results for participants and their families.

The variety of activities is largely determined by the participant's needs, abilities, and interests. Every program day is structured and purposeful. The purpose of the day care center's program is to provide therapeutic and rehabilitative activities for the participants. An awareness of the frailty of the participants and their functional capabilities is important in deciding what activities are to be offered at what times during the day.

A monthly calendar is prepared and distributed to each participant. The calendar includes daily activities, special events, holidays, and birthdays.
