The City of Pembroke Pines Southwest Focal Point Senior Center is a non-profit organization located in the southwest Broward County of Florida. The center has been in operation for the past twenty-two years providing programs and services that enhance the quality of life for our senior population.

With the support of the City of Pembroke Pines, the assistance of grant awards and matching funds the following services are provided: Alzheimer's Day Care, Adult/Frail Day Care, Health Support Services, Social Services including Information and Referral, Volunteer Services, Transportation, Counseling, Recreational Activities, a Nutrition Program and our Senior Residential Complex.

We are always expanding our services. Currently we are planning a Family Counseling Center to further enrich the lives of our seniors.

Major fundraising events such a Fall Fashion Show, a Hometown Talent Show and a Day Cruise are planned throughout the year help us to achieve our goals. Fundraising events help support programs and endorse future services. Donations from corporations and organizations assist us in meeting our fundraising goals.

The Volunteer Services Department coordinates these fundraising activities. During the week we operate a gift shop, have bake sales, raffles and breakfast sales to help alleviate costs. This department is also responsible for assigning volunteers from the community into beneficial positions at our center.
