General Safety Tips

  1. Everyone should practice fire drills in the home.
  2. Clean the lint hose in the rear of a clothes dryer, it gets filled with combustible lint.
  3. Keep all matches, lighters, and candles out of the hands of children, children as young as 2 years old can strike matches and start fires.
  4. Don't smoke in bed.
  5. Keep medicines, poisons, and cleaning chemicals secured and out of the reach of children.
  6. If your clothes catch on fire cover your face with your hands and then STOP, DROP, and ROLL.
  7. Do not plug too many cords into one outlet.
  8. Do not run an electric cable under a carpet.
