General Safety Tips
- Everyone should practice fire drills in the home.
- Clean the lint hose in the rear of a clothes dryer, it gets filled with combustible lint.
- Keep all matches, lighters, and candles out of the hands of children, children as young as 2 years old can strike matches and start fires.
- Don't smoke in bed.
- Keep medicines, poisons, and cleaning chemicals secured and out of the reach of children.
- If your clothes catch on fire cover your face with your hands and then STOP, DROP, and ROLL.
- Do not plug too many cords into one outlet.
- Do not run an electric cable under a carpet.
