Substance Abuse Policy - The City of Pembroke Pines is committed to creating and maintaining a drug free workplace. Our policy states that substance abuse will not be tolerated during working hours or on the premises of the City of Pembroke Pines, including the parking lots. This prohibition includes the possession, use or sale of illegal drugs or alcohol. All applicants must forego a pre-employment drug screening.

Workplace Violence Policy - The City maintains a zero tolerance policy toward workplace violence or the threat of violence by any of its employees, customers, the general public, and/or anyone who conducts business with the City. This policy is intended to provide a workplace that is free from the physical attacks, harassment, property crimes, threats, or any other violent crimes.

Nepotism Policy - It is the City of Pembroke Pines policy that employment of relatives will be in accordance with applicable state statutes. The term relatives refers to: father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, half sister.
