Municipal elections in Pembroke Pines are required by the charter to be held the second Tuesday of March on even numbered years. Due to the passage of HB 7035 (Chapter 2015-5) in March 2015 in the Florida Legislative Session, the date of the Florida Presidential Preference Primary election is March 15, 2016.

Mayor Frank C. Ortis (City-wide Mayoral) was unopposed and is not on the ballot.


General Municipal Election will be March 15, 2016 for the District 2 and District 3 seats.  Mayor Ortis, unopposed during qualifying period, retains mayoral city-wide seat.
