Year-Round Special Need Programs
The City of Pembroke Pines Special Population Program is proudly recognized as one of the few South Florida cities which provide adaptive year-round special need programs for individuals with varying disabilities in the city and surrounding community.

The goal of this program is to provide quality recreational and educational opportunities for individuals with special needs in programs that encourage inclusion, where participants interact with individuals without disabilities, with modifications or adaptations as needed.

Sponsorship opportunities include:
Special Olympics Basketball (Equipment and Uniforms)
Special Olympics Flag Football (Equipment and Uniforms)
Special Olympics Soccer (Equipment and Uniforms)
Wheelchair Basketball (Additional Wheelchairs for Athletes)
Challenger Little League Baseball (Equipment and Uniforms)
Special Needs Tennis (Equipment)
Outings for Youth and Adults (Monies for Individuals That Might Not Have Monies to Attend Scheduled Outings)
Winter, Spring, and Summer Camp (Equipment and Programs)
Special Population Program (Marketing Costs: Program Banner, Program Brochures and Flyers, Signage)
Wheelchair Basketball Tournament (Expenses for Referees, Lunch Meals for Athletes and Coaches, Signage)

Program Information
The Special Population Program also provides community outings, special events, and educational field trips. Any donations of new equipment for our various programs would be greatly appreciated.
