Transitional Independent Living (TIL)
Since 2007, the City of Pembroke Pines Transitional Independent Living program has been providing housing and supportive services to foster youth, ages 18 to 22 years old. Applicants must have aged out of the foster care system or relative / non-relative care placement and reside in Broward, Palm Beach or Dade counties.

The program serves youths who qualify for State of Florida Road to Independence Scholarship (RTI) or have stable employment prior to entering the program and maintain full-time employment.


Amenities include a computer lab, recreation room, billiard table, basketball court, children’s playroom, washer / dryer, and dishwasher in each apartment.

The residences are located on the Howard C. Forman Human Services Campus off University Drive between Pines Blvd. & Pembroke Road in Pembroke Pines.
