Dan Giustino is the Chief of Police and Department Director of the Pembroke Pines Police Department. In addition to Chief Giustino, Assistant Chief Kenneth Hall oversees the activities of the entire Department and is assisted by two Deputy Chiefs and five Captains.  Together, this Command Staff comprises the management team of the Pembroke Pines Police Department.

Deputy Chief David Golt oversees the Operations Bureau, the primary component of which is Road Patrol.  Personnel who work in this capacity patrol the streets and neighborhoods of Pembroke Pines, answer calls for service, and conduct preliminary investigations regarding crimes and other incidents.  These personnel are assigned to one of two Watch Captains and are based at both Police Headquarters and the West District Station.  The Operations Bureau also includes the Investigations Division.

Captain Larry Diaco oversees the Early Watch. The Early Watch extends from 7am through 3pm, and consists of Patrol Officers, Police Service Aides, and Sergeants assigned to the Day Shift, as well as the Traffic Unit. Captain Maher is also in command of the Dive Team, Honor Guard, Special Response Team and the Crisis Response Team.

Captain Dan Rakofsky oversees the Late Watch. The Late Watch extends from 3pm through 7am, and consists of Patrol Officers, Police Service Aides, and Sergeants assigned to the Afternoon and Midnight Shifts, as well as the K-9 Unit. Captain Rakofsky is also in command of the Mobile Field Force, Field Training Unit, and the Crime Suppression Team.

The Investigations Division is under the command of Captain Thomas Maher. This Division includes Detectives in General Investigations, Crimes Against Persons, Domestic Violence, Missing Persons, Juvenile/Sex Crimes, Fraud and Computer Crimes, Special Operations Unit, Special Investigations Unit, and the Crime Scene Unit Technicians.

Deputy Chief Michael Segarra oversees the Administration Bureau, which includes the Support Services/Community Services Division and the Professional Standards Division. 

The Support Services/Community Services Division is under the command of Captain Andrew Mehringer. It includes the Records Unit, Property/Evidence Unit, Court Liaison, Volunteers, Communications, Computer Services, Case Filing, Community Affairs Unit, Victim Advocate, Mounted Unit, Explorer Post, School Resource Officers (GREAT), and Police Athletic League (P.A.L.). 

The Professional Standards Division is under the command of Captain Sean Hemingway. This Division oversees Backgrounds and Selections, Finance, Payroll, Scheduling, Grant Management, Planning and Research, Professional Standards, Training, Crime Analysis, Purchasing, Emergency Management, and Accreditation.  

Thirty Police Sergeants and three civilian supervisors act as Line supervisors for the men and women of the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
