Crime Watch calls its Block Captains to inform them of crimes that have occurred in their area.  The Block Captains contact members on their block with this information.
This alerts a community to keep a watchful eye for other incidents.

Street signs posted…
Crime Watch places signs in areas that have more than 50% membership.
The signs warn criminals that it is a Crime Watch area and members will report suspicious incidents.
Having signs posted has proven to lower crime rate by about 40%.

Window decals with code numbers…
Members receive coded decals that are on file.
The police can quickly access important information for that member.
