City of Pembroke Pines
Automated Trash Pick Up…
to begin Mid - Summer

Pembroke Pines, FL…..June 7, 2007…. The wait is almost over....The City of Pembroke Pines Automated Trash Pick Up will begin in late June early July Manual trash pick up in Pembroke Pines will soon be a thing of the past!

"The new trash carts will be delivered to all residents during a phase in process beginning June 18 with a scheduled completion date of July 15th,” said Rose Colombo, Pembroke Pines Public Services Administrative Supervisor.

"The new cart will be delivered with an instruction packet,” Colombo said. “Residents are encouraged to save the literature, which will be mounted inside the cart. Important information about when to begin using the cart, new bulk pick up dates, and all other trash related information will be in the packet.” It is important to remember only City provided trash carts will be serviced.

Further good news for Pembroke Pines residents is their trash service dates will stay the same and the new trash carts are very sturdy while being manageable - they have wheels.

The cart is heavy duty enough to withstand animals knocking them over. Lastly the new trash carts have a moisture seal, which will help eliminate odor.
