The City of Pembroke Pines Recreation and Cultural Arts Department is dedicated to providing a comprehensive program that includes all phases of leisure and recreation services. Our purpose is to provide a wide variety of activities and facilities to accommodate the leisure pursuits of our residents, while improving the quality of life in Pembroke Pines.

Park Openings

We are happy to announce the re-opening of City of Pembroke Pines Parks and most playgrounds with restrictions.  See restrictions here. See list of open playgrounds 

The Craig Rupp K-9 Dog Park and the Steven L. Josias Dog Park are open with restrictions.  See restrictions here.

Not Permitted or Still Closed at This Time:
  • Pools (Except for the Academic Village Pool for the Swim Team)
  • Water fountains
  • BBQ Grills
  • Shelters
  • Community Centers - Halls
  • Recreation programs and events 
  • Social gathering of groups of 11 or more people will not be allowed in parks

Virtual Art Classes

The Fletcher Art and Cultural Center is hosting Virtual Art Classes for children ages 8-11 and 12-17. These classes will explore use of different mediums all in the comfort of your home! Participating students will be able to engage virtually with an art teacher with the provided art materials.
