City of Pembroke Pines Art Teacher Decorates White House Christmas Tree

One of Annette Fernandez's lifelong dreams was to help decorate the White House for the Christmas Season. So she decided to write a letter to the First Lady. To her surprise, she received a response on how to apply and 5 short months later she was there to do so!
The tree is in The Blue Room and is decorated with mini masterpieces made by children all across America highlighting the people, places and things that capture the spirit and beauty of their state.
Annette teaches various art classes for children ages 5 to 17 for the City's Recreation & Cultural Arts Department. See full story
