16th Annual Mayor’s Kids Day

Pembroke Pines, FL (May 22, 2025) – All residents of Pembroke Pines ages 15 and under are welcome to participate in the 16th Annual Mayor’s Kids Day, hosted by Mayor Angelo Castillo, on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. With proof of residency parents may pick up a wristband from the Recreation and Cultural Arts Department at specific locations for their child to participate beginning June 2, 2025. 

Event Details

This fun-filled day, presented by Baptist Health, takes place throughout the city where several businesses want to make Pembroke Pines Kids their VIPs by offering gifts, samples and surprises for residents ages 15 and under. The event kicks off with “Lunch with the Mayor” 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. This is also a great time to meet and play with an entourage of celebrity mascots like Plato the Publixaurus, and a few others. In addition, kids in attendance will be treated to a special theme character show with “Hula Lessons” before all participants venture off to find the local businesses and offers they have for the day. 

To participate, in -person preregistration is required --  each child will need to register and get a free wristband from the Recreation and Cultural Arts Department beginning June 2, 2025 through June 19, 2025 from the following locations:

Pembroke Lakes Tennis – 10500 Taft St | Mon-Fri: 8AM-8PM or Sat-Sun: 8AM-5PM

City Center – 601 City Center Way | Mon-Thurs: 8:30AM-5:30PM

TownGate & Price Park - Call for times

Only Pembroke Pines businesses will be participating.  For more details on which businesses are participating, there will be updates on the City’s website at www.ppines.com/specialevents. The list of businesses will change often, some deals are limited to certain times or on a first-come first-serve basis.
