9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Held at Memorial Park

Pembroke Pines, FL (August 14, 2025) -- The City of Pembroke Pines encourages all ages to attend an observance ceremony for the 24th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, also known as Patriot Day. It will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2025, at 8:30 am at the Charles F. Dodge City Center Memorial Park, located at 601 City Center Way to honor the many lives tragically lost on this day and remember how it affected our country.

During this special ceremony, the City of Pembroke Pines will remember and honor the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, the thousands injured, and the first responders who tried to save as many lives as they could. 

This solemn ceremony, which is free, will begin with the Presentation of Colors by the City of Pembroke Pines Police and Fire Department Honor Guards. It will also include guest speakers, community leaders and patriotic music featuring a local school chorus. Those in attendance are also encouraged to tour the statues that commemorate this day and are part of Memorial Park. All ages are encouraged to attend
