A Golden Watercolor Retrospective

Pembroke Pines, FL (February 3, 2026) – The City of Pembroke Pines and the Gold Coast Watercolor Society invite all ages to a free opening reception for “A Golden Watercolor Retrospective” on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 7pm to 9pm being held at the Studio 18 Art Complex, located at 1101 Poinciana Drive. Exhibition will be on display from February 20 to May 7, 2026.

Celebrating fifty years of artistic dedication, A Golden Watercolor Retrospective honors the legacy of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society (GCWS) and its long-standing commitment to the advancement of watercolor as a vibrant and evolving medium. Since its founding, GCWS has supported artists at all stages of their practice while engaging the public through exhibitions, education, and shared exploration of water-based media.

Featuring works by Society members, the exhibition showcases the versatility and expressive range of watercolor—from carefully controlled technique to moments shaped by fluidity, chance, and intuition. Together, these works reflect a community built around learning, experimentation, and a deep respect for the medium.

Hosted at Studio 18 Art Complex, this anniversary exhibition marks a milestone in the Society’s history and celebrates 50 years of creativity, collaboration, and a collective love for watercolor.
