Inaugural Pines Light up the Night

Pre-Register and Save $$$


Pembroke Pines, FL…. November 21, 2017… Runners can save money by pre-registering for the February 10, 2018 Inaugural "Pines Light up the Night 5K Run".
Register prior to November 30, 2017 at www.splitsecondtiming.com and pay just $25.00. The registration fee bumps up to $30 on December 1, 2017 and to $35 on race day.  LED Bracelet wearing runners will receive the Inaugural race Tee or Razor Tank shirt and race medal. Men and Women will receive first, second and third place awards in the posted age groups.

 
Prior to the awards presentation, runners will enjoy dessert samples and beer for those 21 and older who present an I.D., Food Truck Invasion (on your own), a black light area, sponsor give-a-ways,  glow in the dark necklaces and create a personalized Pines Light Up the Night, 5K-Run 2018 backdrop for selfies, using neon spray paint!
 
“Runners will enjoy a run and after party like hasn’t been seen before,” said organizer Traci Richards, who along with sponsor C. Davis Electric has great plans for the event.  “Each runner will be given an LED race bracelet, which will light up and change colors at each mile marker, talk about lit!”  As runners finish the race, their bracelets will become a rainbow of colors when they pass under a lighted arch on The Plaza of the City of Pembroke Pines Charles F. Dodge City Center.  
 
Packet pickup begins at 4:30 p.m. and the race begins at 6:30 p.m. The race begins from the old Pembroke Pines City Hall at the corner of Pines Boulevard and Palm Avenue and immediately to the East of the City of Pembroke Pines Charles F. Dodge City Center, 601 City Center Way. Please do not bring pets. Registration fees benefit the City of Pembroke Pines Charter School Foundation. The 5K course is measured and certified to USATF specifications and timed by Split Seconding Timing.
