Pembroke Pines, FL – (April 30, 2019) The City of Pembroke Pines Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department welcomes the local community to enjoy a Free Jazz in the Pines concert, sponsored by Memorial Healthcare System, Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the plaza, at the Charles F. Dodge City Center located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines.
While enjoying the outdoors, residents can experience the vibrant performance of Tito Puente Jr. and his Jazz band. There is plenty of room to set up both folding and lawn chairs, spread a blanket, enjoy some snacks, refreshments and enjoy the concert with family and friends.
No pets are allowed. All concerts are held weather permitting and are subject to change.
Lastly, The City of Pembroke Pines Art and Cultural Division has incorporated a fun, new component to the Jazz concerts by adding Live Painting Artists that will complement the featured band. The live painting artist accompanying this particular show is Gregory Dirr.
Tito Puente Jr., determined to strengthen the musical legacy of his father Mambo Musician Tito Puente, has become a spectator favorite in casinos, symphony halls, performing arts centers and jazz festivals internationally, performing more than 300 shows for his fans over the past 5 years.
