Pembroke Pines, FL (November 22, 2019) – Thousands of Pembroke Pines residents, friends and guests were in attendance as families came together for the fifth annual “Raising Positive Children Forum” at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way in Pembroke Pines.  Hosted by Pembroke Pines Vice Mayor Iris A. Siple, West Campus Charter School Principal Michael Castellano, the Education Roundtable Forum and the City of Pembroke Pines, the forums were created to bring awareness to and find solutions for the many issues parents and children face today, such as family stress and bullying, both at home and at school.  This year, the Raising Positive Children series was recognized by the Florida League of Cities and awarded the City Spirit Award, a Florida Municipal Achievement Award.

The November 21, 2019 event included special performances by drummer extraordinaire Willie Stewart and his Rhythms in Conversations, a chorus of 250 students from the Pembroke Pines Charter Schools, guest speaker Enrique Feldman, Founder and Director of Learning for the Global Learning Foundation, powerful skits, debates and other musical acts.
