Kid's Corner Storytime @ The Frank - World Autism Awareness Day

The Frank welcomes children and their caretakers for Storytime Hour! This month celebrate Autism Awareness with a story about friendship, “We Are Amazing, 1, 2, 3” written by Leslie Kimmelman. The story features some of our favorite friends from Sesame Street as they learn that our differences can bring us together. After reading, children will get creative with a guided art activity.

The City of Pembroke Pines invites you to participate in our 18th Annual Art Competition! Artists 18 years or older who reside in Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach County are encouraged to virtually submit their work in an opportunity to win hundreds in cash prizes. Listen as the artists give some insight into their artwork and the theme of the exhibition. This exhibition explores the concept of home and how we create a familiar feeling in different spaces.

Teen Art Club

The Teen Art Club offers monthly workshops for teenagers to explore artistic mediums and creative expression with artist and educator Melanie Oliva. In this workshop, students will learn about shading and facial anatomy while creating a self-portrait in the style of autistic artist Mikaela Sheldt in recognition of Autism Acceptance Month
