[ARCHIVED] Mayor's Kids' Day

MayorsKidsDay

The City of Pembroke Pines 15th Annual Mayor’s Kids Day, hosted by Mayor Angelo Castillo, is being held on Friday, June 21, 2024.   This fun-filled day, presented by Baptist Health, takes place throughout the city where several businesses want to make Pembroke Pines Kids their VIPs by offering gifts and surprises for residents ages 15 and under. To participate, each child will need an “Every Kid is a VIP in Pembroke Pines Wristband” from the Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. Preregistration in person is required to receive this free wristband starting on June 3, 2024. On Friday, June 21 the event kicks off with “BRUNCH with the Mayor” from 10 am to 12 Noon at Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. The Brunch is a great opportunity to meet and play with an entourage of celebrity Mascots like Cosmo from Bright Star Credit Union, Plato the Publixaurus, and a few others. This is also the time when 15 lucky kids will be chosen to be part of the SURF’s UP GAME SHOW sponsored by BrightStar Credit Union. After Brunch, participants will venture off to find the local businesses and offers they have for the day.

The following are some important tips and details for the day:

1. Wait until the night of June 20 to print the most updated participant list.

2. Remember you must be a Pembroke Pines resident to participate.

3. Only Pembroke Pines businesses can participate.

4. Registration for wristbands began on June 3, 2024, and continued until Thursday, June 20, 2024. Registration is only in person.

5. Participants must wear their wristbands all day on June 21 and visit local businesses for a discount or free samples, prizes, and surprises.

For more details on which businesses are participating, please keep checking the City website for updates. The list of businesses will change often, and some deals are on a first come, first serve basis, while others are limited to certain times. Please scan the QR Code for the most up-to-date businesses
