It’s time for the annual Mayor’s Playball event on July 12, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 PM for an exciting day of Baseball and Softball action. The event will take place at Flamingo Park, located at 1900 NW 122 Terrace. The Mayor and the Recreation and Cultural Arts Department host the Mayor’s Play Ball Summer event each year in conjunction with the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) and Major League Baseball to promote youth baseball and softball. PlayBall 2024 is a great summer event for children who love baseball. There will be free cotton candy, popcorn, and hotdogs to enjoy along with baseball related activities and prizes. There will also be music, games and much more! Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 and skill levels are encouraged to join in for a morning of skills and fun. Youth are encouraged to take part in a Hit, Pitch, Run event, as well as games and entertainment. Lunch is provided and lots of surprises.
