All ages are invited to join the City of Pembroke Pines in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 20, 2025, 10 am -12 pm (noon) at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. This will be a morning filled with poetry, speeches and performances honoring the man who had a dream. Winners of the Student Poetry Contest will also recite their winning entries during the event. Local officials will pay tribute to Dr. King, as well as local dancers and performers. There will be a special performance by “The Voices of Liberty” of Spirit Life Ministries from 11 am to noon. A RISE and SHINE light breakfast will also be served as we celebrate kindness, acceptance, and compassion together.
