Everyone is encouraged to join the City of Pembroke Pines in honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. There will be a special hour-long parade, held around City Center, which begins at 9 AM and is being led by Grand Marshalls, Mayor Angelo Castillo and Shauna Hicks-Lee. Following the parade, the celebration continues at 10 AM on the Plaza with speeches, dance performances, bounce houses, food trucks and music featuring the Deep Fried Funk band who will be performing from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Additionally on the Plaza, there will be family arts and crafts, various other fun activities, black-owned business vendors and food trucks.
