An opening reception for a new exhibition, A Golden Watercolor Retrospective, at Studio 18 Art Complex will be held on February 20 from 7 pm to 9 pm. This exhibition honors the legacy of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society (GCWS) and its long-standing commitment to the advancement of watercolor as a vibrant and evolving medium. Since its founding, GCWS has supported artists at all stages of their practice while engaging the public through exhibitions, education, and shared exploration of water-based media. Featuring works by Society members, the exhibition showcases the versatility and expressive range of watercolor—from carefully controlled technique to moments shaped by fluidity, chance, and intuition. Together, these works reflect a community built around learning, experimentation, and a deep respect for the medium. Hosted at Studio 18 Art Complex, this anniversary exhibition marks a milestone in the Society’s history and celebrates fifty years of creativity, collaboration, and a collective love for watercolor.
Admission and parking are free and no registration is required. The exhibition will run until May 7, 2026. All ages are welcome. Studio 18 Art Complex is located at 1101 Poinciana Drive.
