Playball 2023, the Mayor’s Play Ball Summer event held each year in conjunction with the United State Conference of Mayors (USCM) and Major League Baseball, will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon at Flamingo Park, located at 1900 NW 122 Terrace. This free event, which promotes youth baseball and softball, will feature fun activities, music and food. There will be a Pitch, Hit, Run Competition with separate age divisions, as well as divisions for Beginners and Advanced players. Boys and girls ages 7 to 14 will be given the option of using baseball or softball equipment. Now through August of 2023, with the help of mayors across the country, Play Ball Events will be held with the goal of energizing communities and generating support and love for baseball and softball.
