All ages are welcome to join The City of Pembroke Pines this summer for FREE live performances from 4-6 pm during our Summer Symphony Series. This annual celebration of music features various presentations from the South Florida Symphony Orchestra (SFSO). All presentations and parking are free to the public. Seating is limited and provided on a first come first served basis. No tickets are required for entry. Performance dates held at the Charles F. Dodge City Center are:
Sunday, June 9, 4 pm to 6 pm – SFSO Strings presents a program from classical to popular for all ages. Guests can learn things they may not know about the string family of instruments while enjoying an informative program that shares insights into what it takes to bring a program to life.
Sunday, July 14, 4 pm to 6 pm – SFSO Brass brings a program of patriotic music with a mix of fun.
Sunday, August 18, 4 pm to 6 pm – SFSO Woodwinds bring a program for all ages with an introduction to the eclectic world of woodwind instruments through classical selections, culminating with Peter and the Wolf, a delightful tale (with narrator) for all ages to enjoy.
Final performance held at the Susan B. Katz Theater of Performing Arts, located at 17195 Sheridan Street: Sunday, September 8, 4 pm to 6 pm – Symphony Pops! Join members of the SFSO in a fun concert of pops with a mix of pops, Broadway and Contemporary songs for all ages.
