The City of Pembroke Pines and Miramar have joined together with the American Cancer Society for the 27th Annual Relay for Life Event being held on Friday, March 21, 6 am to midnight. It will be held at the City of Pembroke Pines Charter High School Athletic Field located at 17189 Sheridan Street. Kicking off the event will be the Survivor Dinner which will be open to registered survivors along with their caregivers and family. The opening ceremony will feature performances, check presentations and recognition of survivors and caregivers with a Medaling Ceremony. The First Lap is scheduled for 7 pm. Everyone who has ever fought or knows someone who fought cancer is invited to walk the track at this time and cheer for survivors in attendance. At 8 pm the Torches of Hope, in remembrance of those who lost their battle with cancer, will be lit. At 9 pm the Luminaria Ceremony will take place, lining the entire track with lit bags honoring and remembering those who have battled cancer. Mickey Park Bounce House- for a donation 6-9pm on grounds
Every Team will have spin wheels, games, raffles, and lots of ways to raise funds.
