The Planning and Economic Development Department in conjunction with the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) invites you to participate in a WALKING AUDIT of the University Corridor. The event will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. The event begins at Studio 18 in the Howard Forman Health Park at 1101 Poinciana Drive, and then shuttles will take participants to the various walking locations along the corridor. Shuttles will then bring participants back to Studio 18 to submit their findings. As a community member, you will be able to provide perspective as to how the corridor can be improved. Additionally, the audit will help identify how the corridor can be transformed into a complete street to alleviate the safety and access concerns in the area for those who walk and bike. The walk will be about 1 mile in length, with water and snacks provided. Attendance is not mandatory, but we would love to have you all participate.
