Comfort K9 Jellybean, Therapy Dog

Police therapy dogs play a vital role in supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of both law enforcement personnel and the communities they serve.  Unlike traditional police K9s, therapy dogs are specially selected for their friendly demeanor and are trained to provide comfort and emotional support to help victims and first responders cope with stress, anxiety, or grief.

In September 2025, Comfort K9 Jellybean became the Pembroke Pines Police Department's first ever therapy dog.  Jellybean is a Goldendoodle and was adopted at 10-weeks-old by her partner & handler, PSA Jason Dail.  Both puppy and handler will be undergoing training together as Jellybean matures, so that she is prepped & ready to serve and support our community.
