Pembroke Pines, incorporated in 1960, is a safe and desirable community. The recipient of many awards including “All-America City,” Pembroke Pines is known for its commitment to the arts and culture, its outstanding schools, exciting South Florida lifestyle for all ages, cultural diversity, numerous parks and forward thinking in an ever-changing world. The City of Pembroke Pines Charter School System is composed of 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, and 1 high school.

As a new resident, you may be experiencing a hurricane season for the first time. We encourage all residents to always be prepared and to visit the City's "Pembroke Pines Prepared" section of this website for hurricane preparedness information, videos and resources. You may also have questions regarding your garbage or bulk pickup schedules - information can be found HERE. Also, another helpful link is SeeClickFix.com, an online web application that allows any individual to report non-emergency issues such as graffiti, potholes or traffic safety issues on a map for everyone to see.
